To provide our educational services, we collect the following data:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and username provided during registration.
  • Learning Progress: Data such as your “starred” flashcards to synchronize your progress across devices.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and access times for security and performance optimization.

2. Use of Information

Your data is used solely to:

  • Operate and maintain the Cantonese learning platform.
  • Process membership subscriptions and payments.
  • Communicate account updates, course news, or billing information.

3. Payment Processing & Security

We do not store your full credit card details on our servers. All transactions are processed securely through Stripe, a leading third-party payment gateway. Stripe’s use of your personal information is governed by their own Privacy Policy.

4. 7‑Day Trial & Billing

When you start a paid subscription, you are not charged immediately. Your first payment will be processed 7 days after you sign up.

During this 7‑day period, you can explore the platform, use all premium features, and decide if it’s right for you. If you choose to cancel before the 7th day, you will not be charged at all.

How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription anytime from your Account Center. If you cancel during the trial, your access will end immediately and no payment will be taken. After the trial, you will be billed automatically according to your chosen plan (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.

5. Data Retention & Your Rights

We retain your information as long as your account is active. Under GDPR and relevant privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Erasure: Request the deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Correction: Update your personal information at any time.
